Default Best Scottish Band/Artist? (Poll)

Alrite, I had the idea recentley that i should have done a poll with my 'Scottish Bands/Artists Appreciation' thread but am unable to change it so had to post a seperate thread (sorry mods!).

My favourite 'band' would be 'Big Country' but on the whole I would have to hand it to the late John Martyn.

Anyway, Ive included as many Scottish bands as I could think of, I know there are loads more I havent heard yet but if anybody has any suggestions that I missed out, feel free to let us know.

Cool, I have been meaning to get that album for ages now. I only have the '21 Singles' album by J&MC. Good band though.

Franz Ferdinand for me, best post punk band to come out of the UK this decade by far.

Its not so much the vocals for me its the bagpipe like guitar sound they had. Especially the riff on 'Fields Of Fire', I hear that in my sleep.

EDIT: Who else voted John Martyn???

I'll go ahead and I take the indie*** route with this one, Belle & Sebastian.

Mogwai did so much for me musically. I owe a lot to them.
