Ok Traffic won the last war and as Zero has said I`ll be running the thread now The rules are exactly the same, so just PM me two or three albums for a head to head. They can come from any music genre that will interest members who visit the "general music" section. Obscure albums are good, but bear in mind that better known albums will get more votes (unless of course people take the time to listen to the albums they don`t know)
The battles will last 3 to 4 days depending on how popular each line-up is before being changed. Anybody that posts me their albums, will be treated on a first come first serve basis with any following album choices joining a queue if there is one. If nobody submits any albums then I`ll put some up. So send me you submissions. |

Album Wars
Next battle up is courtesy of Il Duce that two-bit dictator and its the hip-hop old school grand finale. Also when placing your vote, take a few words or sentences to say why you chose the album. De La Soul 3 Feet High and Rising

De La Soul
the start of flower-power rap, and the skits are funny, but does sound a bit dated ATCQ rhyme and flow is excellent, the samples (mostly jazzy) are great as well PE agressive social consciousness, but i think the production ain't nothing to write home about so De La Soul - 0 A Tribe Called Quest - 1 Public Enemy - 0 |

I know as much about hip hop as a martian from the planet of Zog would, so I decided to listen to 3 recommended tracks of each album to get an overall feel. De La Soul- Not what I was expecting despite knowing 1 of the songs from the radio and they didn`t do anything for me. A Tribe Called Quest- A lot better and more of what I was expecting and actually liked them. Public Enemy- Have to say this was what I was expecting to hear and they delivered.
