Adults who are not particularly adventurous when it comes to vegetables will remember their loathing of the brussel sprout when they were kids, so it becomes a love or hate thing.

I personally think brussel sprouts are amazing. For a snack, you can try cutting them in half and fry them gently in a pan along with some whole cloves of garlic and then sprinkle some salt and pepper over them.
Brussel Sprouts are gross. I find the taste far too bitter and the texture throws me off.

Bean Sprouts are awesome though, especially in stir-fry.

The difference is that by training you can supposedly increase the distance you are able to run for, but with sprinting it is harder because you're relying a lot more on your physiology, which is not very easily changed by training.
I'm not sure if I'm completely wrong on this, but I played sports aside from softball; basketball and volleyball certainly required a lot of running for distance and conditioning, whereas softball did distance running as more of a punishment, preferring sprint exercises. For all of those sports, we spent a lot of time doing body weight exercises - push-ups, crunches, chair sits, etc. - and after a period of time, you can plateau using just your body weight as resistance. With push-ups, you can graduate to push-ups with one arm, as with pull-ups when the endurance has been built up, but you can plateau with body weight exercises. At that point, we would be given resistance bands, weighted vests (those are apparently a go-to around here), and all of that. The point being that you have to work harder with added resistance to your body, and don't peak based on your body weight alone...hence a lot of not getting any better with certain exercises.

While cardiovascular endurance is certainly one of the most important things for endurance running, doing so with added resistance really makes your body work a lot harder. That way, your endurance for running sans weight and whatnot will be much higher.

I love Brussels sprouts. Even as a kid - they were the only vegetable I would eat, pretty much. And I think I'm going to try Tore's mini recipe when I have them next. It sounds good!

Do you feel secure with your naked appearance?

3. Is it wrong to post online naked whilst having that experience?

No. We're all doing it. Even me, the reputable Caaant.
Do I feel secure with my NAKED APPEARANCE...
It really depends who's around. If it's just the dog, my friends or even some random people in the showers at the gym I don't really care, I'm pretty hawt and they don't care either. But if the people I'm near will care by reacting with disgust, it will make me feel stupid and offensive, and pretty bad about it.

7. Are there any fit girls online here in my age range (17+) in the Manchester / Sheffield area?

I'm too young to use that, mate

This is very interesting advice, thanks!
I'll try and do some of my weekend runs wearing a rucksack or something.

Back up, you get naked in front of your friends? And don't care? That is very strange...

Hey, at my school, you weren't even allowed to wear anything in the pool until 1971, and there were female teachers too. Just don't even imagine what playing water polo must have been like.

Seriously though, we go to the gym a lot and we really can't be bothered with towels all the time.

Brussel Sprouts are good eats with the right sauce or when sauteed properly. I like making my own cheese sauces out of gruyere and adding a touch of wine.

Ahh, that's not so bad. The way you phrased it I figured you just undressed in your friend's company. "Mates are coming round, what should I wear? **** it, naked".

Haha, that's kind of how I took it as well.

Still...I will always have an aversion to being naked around other guys. Even in high school we had separate stalls for showering after PE.

I do as well, even if it makes no sense. No other animal I can think of of the top of my head is self conscious in the way we are. Is there a biological explanation for this out of interest?
I have a horrible feeling that crukster is fapping over this thread.
