They are rubbish. If they were unknown, most of us would still dislike them as a band (although I expect their appeal would increase) but at least we would not have had to endure 'Rockstar' over and over and over and over and over again.

I'm not overly keen on them, they have some catchy songs though. It's just that horrible brand of American corporate pop rock, it's horribly overproduced. They've got the same vibe as Creed, and thats never a good thing.

I personally think that the band themselves can have some good ideas. I don't think people would hate them nearly as much if their songs weren't sung with Chad Croegers strained voice. Imagine "Rockstar" sung by Justin Beiber. It would stop being horrible, and just become annoying. Imagine "Photograph" sung by Jon Bon Jovi. Might turn into a decent song. |

I actually like Creed, as well. So my taste in music might not be as "refined" as some of you, but I quite enjoy the music I like. Also, I do not listen to radio at all, so I have no clue of what the "hits" are or not, so I do not bore of the same songs that others might.

Maybe you should listen to the radio a bit more, you might find some good hits. Last edited by Unknown Soldier; 12-06-2011 at 02:53 PM. |

They're just the kings of mediocrity. It's not because they're woefully bad, it's more because of how popular they are for their average sound. The immense popularity for something of that calibre is a bit bewildering. I personally admire the drummer, he holds the band together very well and unlike many Kroeger's voice doesn't make me want to cut off my ears. But to really cut it up the lyrics are all about driving, drinking or screwing. And the guitar riffs are all pretty similar too.
