Default The shoes

I don't know if some of you already know that band but i think that the Shoes is, by far, the most interesting electro band that came out of France recently. Already heard of them?

their Arrows of Eros remix was dope. i think the shoes are a good band who knows how to play in the electro scene. the thing i usually dont like about electro bands (not dj's, bands) is they often turn into LCD/the faint-esque dance-punk, which can get really annoying. but this new wave of post-banger electro bands really know how to balance good albums and live performances with nice remixes, club mixes, and what not.

Their last album is less electro than pop but the result remain very pleasant.

With Esser the english singer.

The new The Shoes video (too violent for my taste).

Interesting video even if it really didn't go with the music. It was surprising to see Jake Gyllenhaal in it, I didn't even realize it was him at first.

Hahah as soon as some random article I saw said that Jake would be in that video (in a few months, at the time I read the article) I always checked up to see when it'd be released; didn't think it would be that weird a video. Jake makes some great cameos in other music videos, specifically Blame It by Jamie Foxx and Giving Up The Gun by Vampire Weekend.

I'd definitely recommend the rest of The Shoes' album though, especially Stay The Same, Wastin' Time, and Cover Your Eyes.
