No probs. Thanks for downloading (and reading).
Also, the trial version of WinRAR never expires, despite what it tells you whenever you finish a download, so you don't have to worry about that. I've been sneakily using mine for a year now, and I'm pretty sure yours'll pan out the same way. |

I got through the bottom 50 today. Thoroughly enjoyable. I held onto a bunch of the tracks for repeated listening. Some random thoughts: Ohio Players' Jive Turkey is some tasty burgers; I dig the Souad Massi track; Hey Johnny Thunders - I can put my arm around a mammary (boom!); Jazz from hell the best Zappa LP? Hmmm. Thanks man, fun listening. I'm gonna listen to the rest tomorrow.

Listened to the rest today. I saw #1 coming from a mile away. No, I didn't. Just kidding. Well what I can say is Scott Walker is some frightening stuff. I might have nightmares. I looked up picture of dead Mussolini and Clara while listening. Again, I kept a bunch for repeated listening and I'll give it another go in a day or so. Good stuff.
From our overlapping favs (Beatles/Floyd/Steely Dan/Zappa) and some of your other favs, it makes me wonder, where's Neil Young? No John Lennon Solo record on ur list? What about Manics' Holy Bible? With all your love for reggae, no Bob Marley/Wailers album on there? A personal vendetta there? Lastly, you say you are only familiar with Piper, Darkside and Animals by the Floyd. Not sure if that precisely means you are truly unfamiliar with much of the Floyd's other material. If so, that actually kinda makes me jealous of you for having the getting familiar with the rest ahead of you. If you like what you have then I'd say go next for Relics, Meddle and The Wall. (You're really not familiar with the whole of The Wall?) Then, don't stop. Just random thoughts/questions. Nice list. Thanks again Bull. -hd |

With regards to Neil Young, he was quite a glaring miss with this list, I'll admit. I've only got After the Goldrush and I expect I'll start regretting leaving him out a bit more after I get a few more of his albums. As for the others, John Lennon's Imagine was in earlier drafts of the list. So was the Holy Bible as well. There are tons of albums I simply didn't have room for. One of these days I might do some write-ups about a few more albums that didn't make this list for such reasons. Depends if I can be bothered though. And I'm familiar with the title track of the Wall, but that's about it. Floyd have a discography I'm hoping to get round to exploring more fully soon enough for sure. Anyway, thanks for the feedback. And thanks for reading |
