I spent a while digging into what vaporwave has to offer last year. The way I see vaporwave now, I love the idea, I love the aesthetic, and there have been some pretty damn interesting things done with it musically by a handful of artists, but it took off so fast that Bandcamp and other streaming sites got so immensely saturated with the genre that it became next to impossible to find quality material. Here a few highlights I know of that come to mind.
Fortune 500 was kind of the vaporwave powerhouse when I was exploring the genre. You could probably spend hours digging through the mountains of free releases they've put out. Some of it is great, some of it is something. http://fortune500.bandcamp.com/music

But of course Ventla is the best at it. You can dl like 20 albums from the last fm page, and a quick search will bring loads more. It's great stuff and feels more like 'music' than a lot of other stuff. That's not to say I don't love Laserdisc Visions and 情報デスクVIRTUAL though.

I don't think I will ever be the biggest fan of the style, but it's fun at times. Here's a few of my favourites:
Nightcore Vaporwave - Floral Shoppe Calusa Eisenhower - リー地区 // Cape Coral Jazz Club 1958 Blue Limits - SHAREHOLDERS OF THE VIRTUAL PAVILI☯N Bubblegirl - F す べ て I N G Quote:
