I always found this an interesting track it even differs from Zappa Lumpy Gravy in its use musique concrete and Avant influence. What do people think of this track?

I haven't listened to it in a long while now, but I actually did really like it. I guess I feel I can appreciate avant-garde works like that. I definitely thought it was interesting.

Didn't Charles Manson worship this eponymous track?

It kinda creeps me out when I listen to it in the dark lol. It's not really a song though, is it? It's just..... noises and sound effects.

I think you're thinking of "Helter Skelter".

Isn't that what all songs are when you get right down to it, just an organized series of noises?

Perhaps, but songs usually have rythmn and harmony and the like. Kinda vacant in Rev. 9, don't ya think?

Well where would you draw the line from music to noise? I think something like Revolution 9 isn't really music, but more drug-induced-thought-provoking noise/sounds, or something to that effect.

i think any place you draw the line is going to be arbitrary, so you might as well not
