did you check them out? bastard kestrel that is.

and **** yeah teenage jesus and the jerks is brilliant!! the guy at the record store i go to said he went to a house party and they were playing in the basement. lydia lunch was wearing nothing but seran (spelling?) wrap. now i wish i had that kind of story to tell about myself.

thrhgfjudof. They cover S.Youth's 'schizophrenia', but just make it really lo-fi. YES. Just YES.
Lydia Lunch was mental. Sex personified. ****ing intelligent too, she was one of those people that really got it... if only I could find that interview on youtube...
I've not managed to hear her collab with that bloke from the Birthday Party yet either...

Yeah, the smell scene is pretty word, HEALTH, No Age, Abe Vigoda, The Mae Shi, all really great contemporary noise, and they all have their own original take on it. Not one of those scenes where every band copies one another, which is rare.

I've only listened to one band in that genre and it's No Age. I guess I should look up Swans and what not as I do like no wave.
