Haha, Can't say I've ever wanted to be a mime, but hey whatever makes you happy Gavin B.

I have been on a HUGE Rolling Stones kick this week so let the reviewing begin!

SONG: Mother's Little Helper
ARTIST: Rolling Stones
ALBUM: Aftermath

That away Stones, slap 'em with some reality! When I hear this song I picture the mom on "Leave It To Beaver" shoveling down pills right before Beaver walks in. In some weird way that gives me satisfaction. Cause usually I can't get none. One of the reasons I love the Stone's is because of their spunkiness, and that characteristic is evident in this song like no other.

There's no mistaking what song I am listening to when hear that classy line right at the beginning "What a drag it is getting old" and the mass of fuzzy guitar with the sitar highlights strewn about. And you just gotta love the cleverness of those golden lyrics. My favorite:

"Cooking fresh food for a husbands just a drag
So she buys an instant cake and she burns her frozen steak
And goes running for the shelter of her mothers little helper
"

But without Mick Jagger singing these, they just wouldn't be the same of course. I love how he draws out the words in "Doctor pleeeeeeease, some more of theeeeeeeese." that makes it sound so dire and desperate.
Good job, Rolling Stones. I have been fully entertained by this one.
