As Cities Burn - Come Now Sleep (2007)
Niche: Indie Rock, Post-Hardcore, Emo, Post-Rock
Location: Mandeville, LA, USA

Okay, so now imagine The Devil and God from a doubtful Christian's worldview.

The band started as a product of their environment at the time: edgy Warped Tour Post-Hardcore, though they certainly stood out even then as one of the better, more progressive and genuine groups of that movement. This album, definitely influenced by the shockwave sent out from Brand New's magnum opus, follows in suite with the introspective, self-explorative and deprecating emotional content of it, while viewing it from a more Christian lens, kinda owing to a bit of a mewithoutyou comparison (that is, backed up by the music of the piece).

This album is beautiful, crushingly emotional, and one of the highlights of my journey through emo thus far. You won't be sorry if you go on this adventure.

9/10

Spoiler for Choice Track:

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.
