Martha - Blisters in the Pit of My Heart (2016)
Niche: Pop Punk, Indie Rock, Power Pop, Queercore, Emo
Location: Durham, Durham, United Kingdom

Some pop punk seemingly lifted straight from Brand New's debut album. It certainly gets the job done if you want some cool spring/summer time pop punk to put you in that early 2000's mood, but not quite as well as the real deal will get you. It's a little too derivative for it's own good, and doesn't bring a whole lot to the table to make up for it. The melodies feel too contrived, the vocals are sorta annoying, and the riffs are just bland.

I know this was recced by numerous forum members, but I'm sorry guys I can't get into this :/

Other cons from further listening: it's too damn long and the vocals are ****.

Some of the melodies are alright but they're few and far between.

6/10

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.
